Welcome to my campaign's platform page!  My vision to make our schools the finest in Luzerne County is divided into six components:  architectural, instructional, personnel, budgetary, public relations, and personal goals.  Please take a few minutes to read below.


Architectural
    Keep all of our neighborhood schools open!
    Construct/enhance computer labs in all buildings.
    Safe schools are paramount; take appropriate measures.

Instructional
    Equip our teachers with needed resources; encourage creativity in the classroom.
    Examine and modify curricula to meet 21st century demands.
    Increase variation in our foreign language course offerings.

Personnel
    Hire the absolute best teachers; evaluate hiring process to STOP nepotism.
    Institute periodic reviews of staff performance.
    Ensure that the needs of foreign language learners are met.

Budgetary
    Eliminate unnecessary positions through attrition.
    Maintain competitive salaries for our staff.
    Encourage volunteerism in the schools to save funds.
    Partner with business of offset supply costs.
    Maximize federal and state subsidies with grant monies.

Public Relations
    Make the district website more comprehensive and user-friendly.
    Increase state-mandated standardized test scores.
    Build a reputation for our sports programs.

My Personal Goals
    Attend all board meetings and work sessions.
    Attend three extra-curricular school events per quarter.
    Keep the public informed about district goings-on via the internet.
